Personal Branding Photoshoot in South Florida: How to Plan It
A personal branding photoshoot in South Florida should leave you with photos that look like you on your best day, and that actually work on your website, socials and marketing. A little planning goes a long way.
Start with how you want people to feel
Before we talk outfits, think about the feeling. Approachable? Bold? Luxe? Fun? Your photos should match the experience people get when they work with you. I spent years selling a lifestyle, so this part matters a lot to me. People buy the feeling first.
Pick locations that tell your story
South Florida gives you a lot to work with: beaches, murals, rooftops, cafes, lush green spots and clean studio setups. Choose one or two places that make sense for your brand instead of trying to hit five. If you work from a shop, office or kitchen, that's often the most authentic backdrop.
Think about the time of day too. Summer afternoons here get hot and bright, so early mornings or late afternoons are more comfortable and the light is softer. If you want an indoor spot as a backup, plan it ahead so a surprise rain shower doesn't cancel the day.
Plan outfits and shots
- Bring two or three looks that fit your brand colors and feel like you.
- Plan a mix of shots: headshots, working shots, details like your hands or tools, and a few with space for text.
- Get vertical shots for stories and reels, and horizontal ones for your website.

What to expect on shoot day
I keep it relaxed. We'll start easy so you can warm up, then move into the shots you need most. My lifestyle sessions are up to 60 minutes with 7 edited images for $335. Branding sessions are up to 90 minutes, start at $500, include a 20 second behind-the-scenes reel and require a quick brand identity meeting first. Details are on the rates page.
Use your photos everywhere
Update your website, social profiles, Google Business listing and email signature all at once so your brand looks consistent. Then keep a few unused shots in your pocket for launches and announcements. You can see more examples on my lifestyle and branding page.
Get comfortable in front of the camera
Most people tell me they're not photogenic. Almost everyone is once they relax. I'll give you simple direction, keep the energy easy and show you a few shots along the way so you can see it working. Bring a playlist if music helps you loosen up.
Get a good night's sleep, drink water and plan to arrive a little early so you're not rushed.
